The other night I took the camera along on a walk with the family.  I thought there might have been just enough light to get a few quick shots along the way.  I wanted to get a little more of the fleeting fall color, because in Kansas you never know when the crazy wind or a freak snow storm will ruin all the pretty.  This meant looking like a crazy person as I photographed my neighbors’ trees and then ran to catch up with the stroller.

I wouldn’t say the composition is particularly good on any of these but the otherworldly  colors of the evening are worth sharing.

And here’s a shot of our jack o’lantern.  Jim once again fulfilled his end of our marriage contract and gutted the stinky thing for me!
